Setting Site Specific Targets

The Cliques Console allows you to adjust your campaign bids down to the placement level within a site. So if you know that historically 300x250 placements on the left side bar have been successful for you, great, let's increase the bid for those placements.

If you want to set a more broad, geographic based target, see our article about targeting based on DMAs

You can target a site-specific audience through Cliques by just targeting publishers you've found success with. Further still, you can target specific pages or even placements within pages on publishers you've chosen to target. Winning more bids on these pages, is contingent on bidding higher than anyone else-- so bid accordingly for the sites that you really want to have an impact on.

Next, we'll walk through the process of targeting specific sites.

Step 1-

From the homepage in the Cliques Console, select the campaign you want to modify. Then click on the "Targeting" tag in the settings box.

Next, select the "Targeting" tab and you'll be shown two choices: Sites, Pages and Placements and DMAs. For setting the site specific targets, you'll want to select Sites, Pages and Placements. You can read more about DMAs in this targeting article.

Step 2-

By clicking "Expand All" in the Default Bidding window, you'll see a list of each publisher, site and placement within that site that you're currently bidding on. The very top of this window will remind you what your current minimum bid is for your campaign. The average CPM for each site and placement will be listed beside it, you can read more about CPMs in this article.

Next, click on the green "sliders" icon next to a site that you want to target. This will move that publisher/site/placement into the Custom Bidding window. Simply adjust your bids up or down by moving the "Weight" slider.

Step 3-

To save your changes, simply click the blue Save button and you're all set. You can update and make adjustments to your bids at any time. Cliques gives you the ability to follow trends in campaign performance and redirect your budget to get the highest ROI possible.

Step 4-

Regularly analyze your campaign performance and update your targeted bids. For a guide on adding sites to the Blocked list; follow these steps.
